Joey Barton's been talking again. This time it was at the Leaders in Football Summit where he gave his thoughts on the current state of English football, coming out with a critique of Alex Ferguson's coaching abilities.
Barton said 'England produces managers, not coaches' ... 'Alex Ferguson couldn't put on a coaching session to save his life.'
A crazy comment or a pair point? Dare I play Devil's advocate here by pointing out that Barton is probably referring to the lack of involvement Ferguson would have had with day-to-day training at United. However, that being said I'm pretty sure Fergie could have put a decent session if the need came.
In other news, he also said the England team are 'shit', and that the FA's new commission on how to improve football in their country just gives Greg Dyke eight people to hide behind.
