And now for a story straight out of the Sunday League. Guernsey FC's tie with Carshalton Athletic in the Isthmain League (we said it was Sunday League) was called off on Saturday after Guernsey turned up for the wrong flight. The Channel Islands side were booked on the 7am flight to Gatwick but showed up for the 8:30am flight instead.

Club director Mark Le Tissier - brother of Southampton legend Matt, took full responsibility for the mishap, and blamed mid term for not being able to get another flight.

Guernsey were only set up in 2011 so perhaps we should cut them a break. Still, the concept of a kick off time seems an easy one to grasp.
