For anyone searching for value, there's a good few interesting bets an hour out from the match that will decide which teams will make it out of Group A.#
Russia seem like dead certs to win the group, at 3/10. That'll take a Greece win to have any chance. If you like the Greeks today, the Czechs are at 6/1 and Poland are at 10/1 to win the group.
On the flip side of that coin, Greece are at 2/7 to finish rock bottom. If you like them to catch Russia out, you'll get Poland at 5/1 and the Czechs at 10/1 to finish last.
So if we can presume the Greeks are going out and the Russians are going through, that leaves the interesting Poland-Czech match as the big unknown. Interestingly, the betting markets have the Czechs at 20/21 to go through, with the Poles an appetizing 11/8. If you believe that the Poles home fans might carry them through today, they're a good bet. If you're a believer in the Czechs, a better bet might be backing them to win the match outright at 12/5. If think the Poles are going to go through, you might as well as back them to win the match, since the odds are marginally better.
Punters who think Russia is a dead cert to win the group, the straight forecasting market throws up some decent odds. Russia 1st, Poland 2nd is at 7/4 while Russia 1st, Czechs 2nd.
