As the midweek fixtures drew to a close, we recorded the latest episode of Squeaky Balls Time on Facebook live to discuss two nights of compelling Premier League action.
You can watch it back on our Facebook page, but one particular commenter got in touch to lament the lack of Sam Allardyce gold since his Premier League return - this, of course, arriving after last year's Pint Of Winegate.
We were treated to some vintage Sam back in December, when he very genuinely called for an FA investigation into Watford mascot Harry The Hornet, but all has been relatively quiet on the Allardyce front since. Needless to say, we shouldn't have worried.
Speaking after Crystal Palace's 3-1 defeat to Southampton, Allardyce returned to form with a highly entertaining BBC interview, in which he lambasted the assistant referee for not putting his flag up for a foul on Wilfried Zaha just moments before the Saints drew level.
Allardyce, as his wont, said the challenge on Zaha was akin to GBH, and claimed the assistant referee wasn't 100% wrong, but 200% wrong not to flag the incident. That's presumably very wrong.
It's not the first time Allardyce has attempted to defy the laws of mathematics, of course. Back in February, he claimed he improves players by two per cent each, concluding that this tends to improve a squad of 11 players by a total of 22 per cent.
This attack on mathematical fundamentals arrived less than a month after Allardyce asserted that Yaya Touré should "two-hundred-and-fifty-million per cent" have been sent off against his Crystal Palace side during their FA Cup defeat to Man City.
The maths that matter see Crystal Palace sit three points clear of safety in 16th position in the Premier League.
