Honduras and Panama are still in contention for World Cup places following their 2-2 draw in Tegucigalpa last night. Not only might both countries still qualify, but they produced two of the outstanding goals of the night.

Gabriel Torres scored twice for Panama, his first was this improbable back-heeled volley, while his second was an injury time equaliser.

Wilson Palacios, known as Jerry in his homeland, scored Honduras' second goal that put them 2-1 up, by nutmegging a defender and dinking the ball over the Panamanian goalkeeper. And all set to fantastic Central American commentary.

The table below shows that Honduras are in pole position for the third automatic qualifying spot, while Panama lead Mexico in the race for the playoff spot against New Zealand.
