Back in June we saw current Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger make a lovely tribute to Nick Schuster, one of six Irish students tragically killed in the Berkeley disaster, after hearing that he was Nick's favourite player.

Schweinsteiger posted a picture of the two together to his Facebook page along with an expression of his sadness at hearing the news, but upon returning to Ireland ahead of Thursday night's match, Schweinsteiger presented a signed jersey and had a chat with the Schuster family before a training session in the Aviva Stadium.

A lovely moment.

Once again, fair play to Bastian Schweinsteiger, a classy individual. The signed Bayern shirt was a lovely touch for the family of a huge Bayern fan.
