Well that didn't take long. The build them up, break them down nature of the British media landscape has worked in overdrive this week. The timeline reads something like this, Monday: 'Grealish is Wembley hero', Tuesday: 'Grealish is future England star', Wednesday: 'Grealish in international wrangle', Thursday: 'Grealish in hippy crack shame'.
Late last night, the Sun unleashed their latest big scoop in the 'hippy crack' hall of shame (apparently that's a thing now). And surprise, surprise it was England's potential new star Grealish, pictured six months ago, standing in front of a mirror holding a balloon.
As reported by the Sun:
ASTON VILLA sensation Jack Grealish has become the THIRD star exposed by The Sun apparently getting high on ‘hippy crack’.
The midfielder is the latest to be pictured seemingly taking the legal high — in a growing craze that anti-drug campaigners warn can kill.
Grealish follows Raheem Sterling and Saido Berahino in being 'exposed' by the newspaper and you almost have to laugh at how quick the dirt digging started. Regardless of his international intentions, you have to hope that the increased attention doesn't have any adverse effect on the excellent footballer Grealish could become.
