A month after announcing his retirement from football, Grant Holt was back in front of a crowd on Saturday night. It was not the usual football stadium crowd to which he is accustomed. Rather, it was for a WAW British Wrestling event.
Back in May, the 37-year-old agreed a deal to appear in the promotion.
Holt scored 157 league goals in a 19-year career which took in 13 clubs.
On Saturday night, he was the surprise 40th man - wearing trainers and slacks - to enter the ring for the Crusher Mason Memorial Rumble.
And in dramatic circumstances - it appeared he had been eliminated - Holt won the rumble with a dropkick to knock his final opponent from the ring.

"Really pleased to win this tonight," Holt wrote on Twitter afterward. "Now off to bed, first wrestling match done of many."
He is scheduled to take part in a tag team match at an event in Norwich next summer.
