Liverpool fans may be thankful for the diversion of some actual football tonight, given that they have spent the last couple of weeks worrying that this summer would continue a trend: qualify for the Champions League, lose their best player to Barcelona. Luis Suarez left in 2014, and now it seems that Phil Coutinho will follow suit.
As Liverpool fans fret, however, their former captain and Graeme Souness is less worried about the potential loss of Coutinho, judging by comments he gave on TV3 tonight.
The Scot says that Liverpool should bite Barca's hand off for a hundred million for the Brazilian, going on to claim that he is not the club's most influential player. That title, to Souness, falls to Sadio Mané.
