Great news to everyone supporting Ireland today. The country's favourite Frenchwoman, lifeguard Carla Romera, star of the number one viral video from Bordeaux has issued a warcry on Instagram to the Irish team and their supporters ahead of today's massive game against Italy.
Her instagram post included the following message, translated from French: "I want to support them for the game tonight • Another big thank you to them".
Romera has a lot to thank the Irish fans for. Not only have the Green Army fixed cars, put babies to sleep, collected bottles, hoovered streets and patronised clergy in France this last week or so, they have also made lifeguards famous. Romera's following on Instagram has mushroomed from 6,000 to 35,000 in just 24 hours, and we presume she will be cast in the French 'Baywatch' should it ever be rebooted.
