Gonzalo Higuain, derided as an "expensive donkey" by Eamon Dunphy in a recent I-think-the-beaten-team-are-average-when-they-actually-are-quite-good-so-I'll-label-the-winners-as-not-very-good-using-no-objective-evidence-whatsoever-eto-prove-my-point slot on RTE, has put Juventus in front against Monaco in the Champions League semi-finals. With Barcelona beaten by Juve over two legs in the quarter-final, and Eamon heralded their demise, he slagged off a couple of Juventus players as donkeys, namely Sami Khedira and Mario Mandzukic, with Higuain given the same term with a prefix relating to his £86 million transfer fee.
Higuain finished well, although it was a beautiful flowing move by Juve, featuring two back-heels, and a cracking run by Dani Alves.
What a goal! If Gigi Buffon maintains his knock-out record - he has yet to concede a goal since the group stage - then Juve are through.
If that happens, we look forward to Kylian M'Bappé's "donkey" labelling by Dunphy in the near future.
