Former Burton Albion keeper Stuart Tomlinson has hung up the gloves after joining WWE. Tomlinson, 28, was forced to retire from professional football in July after suffering a knee ligament injury.

The former Burton Albion and Port Vale shot stopper will join the lower ranks of WWE with a hope of earning a regular spot on the companies main shows RAW and Smackdown. If successful Tomlinson could come up against WWE Superstar's like John Cena, Triple H and Ireland's very own Sheamus!
John Cena (left) is the current reigning Heavyweight Champion and Sheamus (right) is a former holder of Wrestlings top honour.

Lets just hope he realises he won't be getting as much protection from the referee's in a wrestling ring as he did in the safety of his box!
