Former Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni could be making a surprise return to international football management, and if he gets the job, he could be wearing some very familiar colours.
The Ivory Coast are currently looking for a new manager, and they have had 59 applicants for the position. In a rather strange move, the Ivorian Football Federation decided to publish the list of applicants, and sure enough Trap has thrown his hat into the ring, along with former France manager Raymond Domenech, and Dave Jones.
Trapattoni has been out of management since 2013 after he was mutually consented by the FAI, and at 76 years of age, a return to management seemed unlikely. That could change if the Ivorians deem him fit enough to lead Les Elephants through to the 2018 World Cup.
The language barrier would again be a stumbling block, but if Manuela Spinelli can speak French we could see the re-establishment of one of Ireland's most loved press-conference tag teams.
