Steaua Bucharest owner Gigi Becali is no stranger to controversy, with a string of accusations of xenophobia, sexism, racism, homophobia, violence and corruption made against him over the years. In his own words "I'm not a civilised man.

Yet he remains relatively popular in parts of Romania where he is called 'the shepherd' by his fans. This week an admirer drove eight hours to Bucharest to present Becali with a statue of the Steaua owner. It took the fan two weeks to sculpt and is worth €6,500. Becali's reaction? "This does not look like me." This hasn't put off other admirers though and it is known that at least two others are preparing to make statues of him. Spot the difference below.
