As seems to be a tradition in the Africa Cup of Nations, a marathon penalty shoot-out decided the winner once again and it's Ivory Coast who lift the title.
With Ivory Coast missing the first two penalties and Ghana scoring theirs it looked certain that Ghana would take home the prize after a turgid 120 minutes of play. However, Ghana then proceeded to miss their next two and after that it was a case of textbook penalties all the way until it was the turn of the goalkeepers.
Ghana's Brimah Razak was the first up and he saw his spot-kick saved by Boubacar Barry who then went down for the second time in the shoot-out claiming injury. After a few moments he picked himself up, dusted off his injury and tucked home a well taken penalty to give Ivory Coast their first Africa Cup of Nations since 1992.
