We totally missed a beautiful moment in the aftermath of Barcelona's Champions League final win over Juventus this past weekend, but thankfully the internet did not.
We saw Paul Pogba comforting a crying Pirlo and our hearts melted, and we saw Xavi drinking the moment in before he heads of to Qatar, but this affectionate embrace between two of the most talented midfielders of their generation has us struggling to cope with the reality that we won't see these two players on a major footballing stage again.
Heartbreaking.
It's only going to get worse as well. Soon all the players we grew up idolising will be gone from the game, forced to be boring pundits, and then they'll be gone from the punditry world, and we'll be harping on to young people about the greats of the game who they've never heard of...
Scary.
