Many had written Man City off in this season's Champions League, however, the perfect sequence of events this evening has left them in the driving seat to claim that second spot behind Bayern Munich. Once again it was Sergio Aguero to the rescue with the Argentine scoring a hat-trick against the Bundesliga champions to send City to Rome in the final group game with every chance of qualifying.
