The Ireland U21s are taking on a German side full of Bundesliga experience at the Showgrounds in Sligo tonight. It was always going to be a tough task for Ireland and what they especially needed was to not gift goals like this to the opposition.
The German right back plays a ball towards the Irish box which should have been dealt with easily but centre-back, Anthony O'Connor, manages to lob it over his own keeper, Aaron McCarey, allowing Kevin Volland to nod home.
