The ball is presented to you just yards from goal after your penalty has hit the woodwork. The keeper is on the ground. The goal is at your mercy.
Most people's instinct would be to smash it in. Not Rochdale's Ian Henderson though. He knows the laws of the game.
When his panenka penalty against Bradford hit the crossbar on Saturday, he had the awareness not to touch the ball again. Instead he ducked underneath it, allowing an incoming teammate (Peter Vincenti) to smash the ball in.
The reason Henderson ducked is because the penalty taker is not allowed to touch the ball again until it has been touched by another player.
Rochdale won the game 2-1.
