Ireland had a goal ruled out wrongly for offside just 2 minutes into their game against Serbia at the Aviva. James McClean played a ball into captain Glenn Whelan at the far post who then volleyed the ball into the opposite corner, though it may have taken a touch off Wes Hoolahan on its way into the net.

The assistant referee thought Hoolahan was offside but as you can see, the Serbian no. 18 was definitely playing him onside.
