His name provokes happiness and sadness in equal measure, Georgie Best. On the one hand, there is the thought of his supreme talent, the highlights clips that remain to this day of his incredible ability - the six goals against Northampton, the piece of skill to score the goal in the 1968 European Cup final against Benfica.
But then there is also the sadness when one thinks of his descent into alcoholism and his death, too early, at the age of 59.
Called the "fifth Beatle", the levels of fame Best enjoyed were unprecedented in the sense that they stretched far beyond those with an interest in football. Best was a fashion icon, a pin-up and a celebrity like no footballer had been before; girls would turn up to games at Old Trafford just to watch Best and scream when he got the ball.
But there is always a certain curiosity about Belfast's most famous son and how much he actually enjoyed all the attention and celebrity - and whether that lifestyle contributed to his downfall in both football and health terms.
There's a new film being released about Best, called George Best: All By Himself, which is due to be released in Irish cinemas on 24th February (though it will be shown at the Belfast and Dublin film festivals on 16th and 18th February respectively). Judging by the trailer, it is set to be an absolute cracker and will explore all of the aforementioned issues regarding Best.
Daniel Taylor of The Guardian describes it as "the film he (Best) deserved. Beautifully told." The movie contains a mixture of footage of Best - both on and off the pitch - as well as audio from interviews of Best and those who know him.
