By biggest we do, of course, mean most eye-wateringly expensive. Memphis Depay to Man United, Paulo Dybala to Juventus and Danilo to Real Madrid. They're the three biggest transfers of the summer so far and now we have another one to add to the list.
Just to prove that it's not just young English players that are curiously overpriced, Inter Milan have signed Geoffrey Kondogbia from Monaco for a reported €40 million.

Some have suggested that the fee is closer to the €36 million mark but nonetheless it would make the combative midfielder the most expensive signing of the summer so far and it is indicative of Serie A's readiness to once again mix it with the top clubs in Europe when it comes to splashing the cash.
The €40 million valuation largely stems from the fact that Adriano Galliani, the AC Milan CEO had earlier said that his club had agreed that fee with Monaco. However, Inter have swooped and 22 year old will be playing in blue and black next season as he cryptically let his followers know during the early hours of the morning.
