A transfer story that will likely arouse the interest of many Manchester United fans has emerged from the Italian media following Roma's 1-0 win over Napoli, a result which saw Juventus confirmed as champions for the fifth season in a row.
Gazzetta Dello Sport over in Italy have published a photo of United midfielder Marouane Fellaini attending that game, and then going on a night out with some of the Roma players as he is friends with Belgian international teammate Radja Nainggolan.
Despite putting in a good performance, capped by a goal, in Manchester United's FA Cup Semi-Final win over Everton, Fellaini has been one of the fall guys for Manchester United's poor second season under Louis Van Gaal. It's clear that Fellaini doesn't really fit at Manchester United, and many fans are calling for the Belgian to be sold having mixed the occasional good performance with far too many poor performances in his three seasons since arriving as David Moyes' only main signing in the summer of 2013.
According to La Gazzetta, it's not just the fans who wouldn't mind seeing Fellaini shipped off, but also the Belgian himself who has fuelled the idea that he fancies a move to AS Roma by attending their win over Napoli with his agent.
He was definitely at the game, and while Troy Deeney attending El Classico with his son and the subsequent lack of a transfer to Real Madrid or Barcelona for the Watford captain would suggest that footballers can sometimes attend football matches because they enjoy football, there appears to be more to this than just a man trying to watch some football in one of Europe's finest cities.
Fellaini was then photographed enjoying the nightlife of Rome with Belgian friends in tow:
We'll bring you more on this as it develops, but the much maligned Belgian could be set to be one of the changes in what is likely to be an extremely busy summer at Old Trafford.
