Ireland became the first country in the world to legalise same-sex marriage by popular vote today. It is a momentous day for the country.

Someone who does not agree with our decision however is Gavin Peacock. The former Chelsea and QPR player is now a pastor in Calgary, Canada.

It is not the first time that Peacock has expressed some archaic views on marriage. Earlier this year he received widespread criticism for tweeting that "God's divine design for marriage in male headship and female submission".
