Infamously, at the 1974 World Cup, the Zaire defender sprinted from a defensive wall to clear a Brazil free kick, even though it had not yet been touched.

In Barnet's 3-0 loss to Northampton on Saturday, Gavin Hoyte - the former Arsenal and Middlesbrough defender - paid tribute to Ilunga.

As noted in commentary, Barnet were unable to get anywhere near Northampton during the game and this frustration showed with Hoyte's impetuous intervention.

To be fair to Hoyte, David Buchanan did have his foot on the ball when the whistle was blown by the referee.
