Reports have emerged that Southampton and Rep. of Ireland keeper Gavin Bazunu is being targeted by Chelsea as a replacement for Edoard Mendy and competition Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Mendy is expected to leave Chelsea this summer, while Arrizabalaga's form in nets has been erratic this season.
The news was initially reported by Simon Phillips, a football journalist who hosts the Talk Chelsea podcast.
With Southampton looking likely to be relegated at the end of the season, Bazunu will be hoping to stay in the Premier League as he continues to adapt to the standard of top level English football.

While Bazunu's form at times has been questionable - in what is one of the toughest jobs at the Premier League's bottom club - the 20-year-old Dubliner has a clear desire to improve.
“I don’t think anyone can scrutinise me more than I scrutinise myself," said Bazunu in an interview last year with the BBC. "I look at my game in very fine detail every week and always have done. I always try and get the 1% improvements out of absolutely everything.
“My goal is always to be playing. One thing I’ve always thought and spoken about in-house with my people is picking and choosing your battles and challenges.
“I didn’t think that staying at City would have been the right choice in terms of choosing my battles. My choice is to come here, have a fairer fight and challenge myself.”
