A lot of people are declaring the terminal demise of Robin Van Persie but judging by Gary Neville's excellent analysis on last night's MNF, the finger of blame may need to be pointed at his teammates.
Neville picks a series of clips to show how runs by RVP which would have been spotted by the likes of Michael Carrick and Paul Scholes a couple of years ago are being completely ignored by the current United midfield. In particular, Neville singles out Daley Blind for criticism over the amount of 'easy' balls he plays.
The former United captain does admit that there are some instances where Van Persie can do more but it certainly seems the blame can't rest just on his shoulders:
