"Ole Gunnar, I have three very quick questions for you: How long would you like on your contract? What would you like your salary to be? And where would you like the statue?" a giddy Gary Neville told the Manchester United manager on beIN Sports following the game they'll surely refer to as 'that night in Paris'.
"It was a fantastic night, eh? I'm just going to do my best until the summer and see what the club decides," replied Solskjaer.
Neville pushed further on the possibility of Solskjaer becoming the permanent Old Trafford manager. The Norwegian remained coy before revealing that Alex Ferguson visited the dressing room following Wednesday night's victory over PSG.
I hear that you keep saying that. Tonight, we have to remember - a fantastic night, the spirit of Man Utd.
It was great to see the boss in there after the game for the first time.
Neville heard the United players singing Solskjaer's name in the dressing. "They absolutely love you, don't they?" he asked.
"I don't know but they get results.," answered Solskjaer.
"We have a good relationship, I have to say, and it's been fantastic coaching them with Kieran [McKenna], Michael [Carrick], Demps [Mark Dempsey], Mick [Phelan] and Emilio [Alvarez], we're a great team together.
"They enjoy us. We want them to improve, we want them to have nights like this - we've been part of it ourselves, haven't we?"
