Gary Neville spoke passionately last night about the 'soul, identity and heart' being ripped out of Newcastle after they fielded seven French players in the second half of their 6-0 defeat against Liverpool on saturday.

The idea that there are too many foreign players in the Premier League has been a recurring theme for English pundits throughout the Premier League era. Neville talked recently about the Premier League needing to get closer to La Liga's 63 percent of Spanish players.
