Gary Neville has taken arms against the sea of troubles that an acolyte of his church has stirred.
We all remember the great Andy Tate, the indignant, affronted United fan who branded David Moyes a "feul", and became an instant viral hit.
His anger was deep, real, and unrepeatable....but that didn't stop people trying. Tate's brief moment of fame was tantalising to so many, and gave rise to the current culture of fans going to games to find something to be annoyed about ahead of the real game: their two minutes in front of a camera outside of the ground.
This genre has found its most depressingly predictable manifestation in Arsenal Fan TV, which has descended to carefully-organised and regimented fume. After this week's 3-1 defeat to Chelsea, there was some novelty on Arsenal Fan TV, as someone decided to take a hat belonging to Ty, Arsenal Fan TV's chief eejit.
It's as if a large slice of Arsenal fans go to football purely to fly a 'Wenger OUT' sign and get annoyed at the fact that he is still here, despite their defiant waving of said banner at a previous game.
Gary Neville spotted one of these fans in the crowd at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, holding up a sign that read "Enough is Enough, Time to Go".
Neville called said fan an idiot.
He’s a an idiot that guy.
Arsene Wenger doesn’t deserve that, obviously the Arsenal fans are disappointed, but to pre-empt by bring a banner into the ground, it’s a joke.
Remember, the consistency of finishing in the top four might not be acceptable for Arsenal fans, but the alternative might be that you finish below those positions.
Think about changing your manager, it might be that you don’t finish in the top four for a few seasons, and actually what Arsene Wenger has achieved is fantastic. So, be careful.
Neville doubled down on that opinion yesterday, taking aim at Arsenal Fan TV in the process.

You may be surprised to hear this, but some Arsenal fans were angry with Neville's comments.
Bereft of a camera, this fume played out over twitter.
Are you that from outside the ground yesterday I saw? 🤡 https://t.co/vQUrmkABAv
