You know it's bad when Gary Neville is tearing apart Manchester United players, something that was fully deserved after their derby loss this evening.
Manchester City looked like the dominant side right from the outset of this game, and barring one of two fleeting chances at the other end, they always seemed likely to take the lead.
They did so from the penalty spot, with Erling Haaland converting the spot kick after Rodri was hauled down by Rasmus Hojlund in the box.
Erik ten Hag hoped to stem the tide facing his side by making a substitution at halftime, taking the rather odd step of substituting his only holding midfielder in Sofyan Amrabat and replacing him with Mason Mount.
The move did not have the desired effect, with Haaland going on to double City's lead moments into the second half.

From this point onwards, Pep Guardiola's side were in cruise control. They would go on to add a third from Phil Foden in the closing stages as they strolled to 3-0 victory.

Gary Neville tears into Manchester United players for derby action
The performance from Manchester United was an incredibly poor one, but the most embarrassing aspect of the afternoon was the attitude of their players late on in the game.
Having put up no fight in a local derby, they would spend the final moments of the game kicking members of the opposition and complaining to the referee. It was an embarrassing sight to behold.
Gary Neville absolutely hammered the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Antony for their actions in the closing moments on Sky Sports, criticism that in truth did not go far enough.

That's absolutely ridiculous, I'd just send him off. It's absolutely ridiculous from Antony, it's embarrassing.
Like I've said before, they think it cons everybody. Half the crowd have left because they know what they are.
The term 'embarrassing' sums it up nicely.
Gary Neville would also criticise Erik ten Hag's tactical approach in the game. Couple that with the petulant actions of their players in the closing stages and you can see why he was so annoyed.
This could be a very long season for Manchester United.
