Liverpool's remarkable run in the Champions League ended in even more remarkable circumstances as a Gareth Bale double swung the game and secured a 3-1 victory for Real Madrid.

A journey that started in Hoffenheim with a qualifying round ended in Kiev for Jurgen Klopp's side, who were without Mo Salah for the vast majority of the game as he departed in tears holding his shoulder.

Along the way to the final, one chant has epitomised Liverpool's run. The soundtrack to their European campaign was undoubtedly 'Allez, Allez, Allez'.

We've conquered all of Europe,

"We're never gonna stop,

"From Paris down to Turkey

We've won the f***ing lot,

"Bob Paisley and Bill Shankly,

"The fields of Anfield Road,

"We are loyal supporters,

And we come from Liverpool,

"Allez, allez, allez.

It's a chant which former Manchester United player Gary Neville is singing tonight, with very different lyrics.
