There will be plenty of room for improvement moving forward, but there is no doubt that Liverpool fans would have been pleased with what they saw from their team under new manager Arne Slot during Saturday's victory over Ipswich Town.
The Dutchman's first competitive game in charge of the club was promising. While Liverpool were reasonably poor in the first half, the tactical changes made by their manager at the interval would have a big impact on the contest.
The Merseyside club would go on to emerge as 2-0 winners at Portman Road, with goals from Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah the difference between the sides.

Neville Taken Aback By Arne Slot's 'Brutal' Handling Of Liverpool Star
That two-goal margin of victory did not flatter Liverpool, who will probably feel that they should have scored a few more times during the second half of that game.
One of the most notable aspects of the contest was the halftime substitution made by Arne Slot, replacing Jarrel Quansah with Ibrahima Konate. Speaking after the game, Slot was fairly ruthless in his assessment of why the young defender had to be replaced, saying that his failure to win his duels had held the team back.
Speaking on The Gary Neville Podcast, Gary Neville admitted that was a bit taken aback by just how blunt Slot was in the way he handled that particular situation.
I thought Arne Slot was quite tough on Quansah...
Subbing someone at halftime is big, I don't think it's done lightly by managers. It was the way in which after the game as well, he was quite blunt about how he answered it, there was no holding back.
I think there is an element there of him being quite sort of clinical and brutal, saying he reacted to the game and what was happening, for me it felt like they had to win the duels, I think that was the main thread behind his decision.
It worked. You've go to say that in the second half Liverpool were a lot better and it was a good win for them.
Arne Slot certainly showed in this game that he will not be afraid to make ruthless changes should he feel they are required, something that worked a treat in the win over Ipswich.
His side have a few tricky fixtures ahead over the coming weeks, with Brentford visiting Anfield this weekend before Liverpool make the short trip to Manchester United in their third game of the season.
