Garry Monk is the toast of Birmingham at the moment having steadied the ship at St. Andrew's. The West Midlands club were in danger of slipping into League 1, but much needed wins against Bristol City, Sheffield United and Fulham have meant that the club have avoided relegation, finishing the season in 19th position on 46 points.
But Blues fan Kevin Tomlinson has shown his support for Monk in a rather unusual way, promising to get a tattoo of the former Swansea boss on his arse if Birmingham beat Fulham. Of course that ended up happening, Birmingham beating Fulham 3-1 at St. Andrew's on Sunday.
Tomlinson then set up a gofundme page looking for £100 to get the tattoo done. This is the message he left on the page:
I promised if Birmingham City beat Fulham I would get Garry Monk's face tattooed on my bum and hey ho! Guess what happened.
If I can raise enough for the small tattoo, remaining monies will go to justice for the 21 campaign.
Then in a twist of events, Garry Monk himself ended up donating £80 to Tomlinson's cause and left a comment with his donation:
Just paid for it, pal! But just one condition: all bluenoses want to see the proof!!!

I can't decide whether it's narcissistic on Monk's part to actively contribute to getting a tattoo of his face on someone, though perhaps the fact the tattoo is destined for Tomlinson's arse negates any notion of vanity.
