Subbed off during the Madrid Derby at the end of September, a fresh Gareth Bale injury looked set to put into question his involvement with Wales ahead of their upcoming UEFA Nations League tie against the Republic of Ireland.
Deemed to not have been quite as bad as initially feared, Bale lined out for Real Madrid tonight in their La Liga tie against Alaves. In what may be good news for Martin O'Neill, and a disappointing development for Ryan Giggs, the Welsh winger once again failed to see the game out.

Asking to be replaced, the location of this Gareth Bale injury appeared rooted in the winger's hamstring.

Troubling news for Real Madrid and Wales, it would appear that this Gareth Bale injury is unrelated to the groin issue that hampered his involvement in the Madrid Derby.
Due to represent Wales in their upcoming games against Spain (friendly) and Ireland in the UEFA Nations League, after suffering a 4-1 defeat in Cardiff, O'Neill would undoubtedly welcome the opportunity of playing Giggs' side without their talisman.
