There's been some strange stories on Balls.ie over the years, but even we don't know how to today's flirty Twitter exchange between the most expensive footballer in history and our very own Brian McFadden.
It started with this Tweet from the Welsh wizard expressing his approval of the ex-Westlife singer's new single 'Call on me Brother'.

Naturally, Bale wooed McFadden with his words of praise and he decided to return the favour and dedicate the song to the Real Madrid winger.

It's hard to know what to say really. Perhaps we should just leave it with the fact that both Tottenham and Madrid fans seemed to be in agreement over Bale's taste in music.
