Bill O'Herlihy, the man Irish sports fans associated with so many of the county's most iconic sporting moments died today at the age of 76.
On 2FM's Game On this evening, they broadcast a poignant audio tribute to the great man. It features him speaking about his approach to broadcasting, leaving RTÉ along with some clips from his classic moments.
Over on Off the Ball, Colm Parkinson described Bill O'Herlihy's broadcasting style as being like a warm blanket. It really encapsulated how the country felt about Billo.
