Galway United clapped back at Waterford FC in hilarious fashion, after their League of Ireland rivals had accused 'a certain club' of spying on one of their training sessions, ahead of the First Division clash between the two sides last night.
On Thursday, Waterford issued the following statement on their Twitter page:
"We are disappointed to have discovered the “Opposition Analyst” of a certain club hiding filming our training session today as we prepare for tomorrow night’s game. Needless to say he was removed and the incident will be reported to the FAI. -Ends-"
In true 'zero fucks given' style, Galway United took the mickey out of the situation in a Twitter post their own.
When sharing their team sheet for the game away to Waterford, they photoshopped spy goggles onto the player featured in their graphic, reminiscent of something you might see in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell.
Naturally, the post garnered a lot or traction on Twitter, with one user writing, 'People think the players are the most valuable product in the league but really its the admins'.
