PSG beat Nantes 1-0 on Sunday night, the goal coming early in the game from Angel Di Maria.

The most notable event of the match though came in injury time when referee Tony Chapron showed Nantes' Brazilian defender Diego Carlos a second yellow card.

Initially, it was uncertain why Chapron had shown Carlos the yellow card. In the replays which followed, it became clear. Chapron took umbrage with Carlos bumping into him as both individuals chased play back towards the Nantes goal.

The absurdity of the yellow card was not even the most remarkable moment of the incident. That was Charpon retaliating against Carlos with a kick as he lay on the ground.

It is a moment which will surely have Chapron in hot water.
