L'Equipe may have been singing the praises of the Irish fans on Wednesday but here we are, the morning after one of the greatest performances in our history and the French media outlet have decided to troll the travelling Irish contingent with some of the most ludicrous player ratings we've seen.
Granted, we obviously have green, white and orange tinted glasses on us but someone has blatantly taken the editorial decision to try and make us hate the French ahead of Sunday's last 16 round tie.
It's the only explanation. They think we've forgotten about the past and they'd prefer if we went into the Lyon cauldron absolutely out of our minds with rage. The gallic swagger would trump the Irish sense of injustice and they'd march to victory.
Well we're not falling for it.
