French Football Match Descends Into Gang War Involving Pickaxes

A Parisian amateur football match at the beginning of the month descended just into gang warfare midway through the second half. The match between Ivry-sur-Siene and Val de Fontenay turned scarily violent with 'fans' of both teams fighting each other using a vast array of weapons in their arsenal which included knives, pickaxes, iron pipes, teargas, spray and baseball bats.

Footage from the brawl was captured by French newspaper Le Parisien and has been used as evidence to arrest many of the culprits from the brawl.
