Brazil's semi-final meltdown has been one of the most outrageous episodes in what has been a pretty bizarre tournament; the pressure on the shoulders of a Brazilian team minus their captain Thiago Silva and their best attacking option Neymar Jr , has been immense. That being said, in the absence of team leaders others are expected to shoulder the burden and step up: David Luiz took over senior defensive duties and Fred attempted to lead the line in what would become Brazil's worst ever defeat.
If their contribution (or lack thereof), was ever in any doubt, this heat-map shows their performances in what is probably the most dramatic capitulation in the tournament's history.
David Luiz is first in the firing line..
When you concede 7 goals, this is what your centre-half's heat map looks like. Ladies and gents, David Luiz. #BRA pic.twitter.com/igleUXm3IV

Fred has been virtually non existent throughout the entire tournament: He certainly didn't cover himself in glory with last-night's performance.
HEAT MAP: Fred has taken kick off 5 times and he's not touched the ball in the Germany penalty area. #BRA pic.twitter.com/PVtYiGWgRw
