Frank Lampard might not have signed a deal to play football next season but one deal he has penned is to become a writer of children's books. Lampard has signed a five book deal with publisher Little Brown Books for Young Readers for a series of books titled "Frankie's Magic Football"
Lampard said:
Sport and reading are two essentials for us at home, so I decided to make up my own football stories and adventures. The characters are loosely based on friends and team mates I've played with over the years.
One of the books will be titled "Frankie versus the Rowdy Romans." Presumably this will feature Frankie trying to save his team's manager from the wrath of some overbearing, power hungry, dictator-esque character.
Other possible titles could include, "Frankie versus the red nosed Scot", "Frankie versus the Spanish waiter" and "Frankie versus the referee that didn't see the ball had crossed the line at the 2010 World Cup".
