New York FC Manchester City midfielder Frank Lampard is being lined up by Sky Sports for a punditry role according to the Daily Mail. Lampard, the paper reports will be a part of Sky's Champions League coverage later this month and a longer term deal is being eyed once Frank hangs up his boots.
Lampard would be seen as the latest weapon in Sky's arsenal as they compete with BT Sport and BEIN Sports for the right to plaster their logo across such stellar fixtures as Sunderland/Aston Villa.
Presumably Lampard will receive the same treatment Thierry Henry did upon his arrival at the station, namely fawning tributes from the likes of Jamie Redknapp and him being obliged to work "Believe in better" into as many sentences as possible.
