It has been confirmed that Frank Lampard is to leave Chelsea after 13 years at Stamford Bridge. The Evening Standard has reported that the midfielder has received an offer from newly-formed New York City FC, where he will join David Villa, who today became the first player to sign for the club which is jointly owned by Manchester City and the New York Yankees. Despite the fact that the Guardian have reported that he has held talks with New York, nothing has been confirmed on this front as yet.
Lampard has received offers from 16 clubs around the world but will not consider any of them or make a decision until after World Cup #cfc

Should a move to New York materialise, he would be likely to earn close to £150,000 a week, which is more than Chelsea were willing to offer him to stay on for a fourteenth season after his current deal ends on June 30. The US season does not begin until March so he may be on the lookout for a short-term deal until then.
I'm sure Frank Lampard isn't short of offers now that he's leaving Chelsea. Could he join uncle Arry at QPR?
