An FPL player has been sharing his dad's attempts at picking a team for the first time, and the results are just as you would expect.
Even the most seasoned Fantasy Premier League managers will remember their first seasons playing the game, when transfers would be made haphazardly and real-life football opinions were clouding judgement.
While we shouldn't smirk at any newbies making the same mistakes, this example sharing by @FPLSportScience is sure to raise a smile among experienced players.
"My Dad is playing FPL for the first time and he knows very little about football outside of Preston North End," writes Sam on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"So far it has been absolutely sensational to witness, so I will document it on here."
FPL player shares his dad's attempts
Sam goes on to share picture of his dad's attempts at Gameweek 1 last week, during which he picked up just 20 points.
Going against a record 90% of players, Pops opted not to select Erling Haaland, despite the Norwegian's near-guarantee of weekly FPL hauls.
There was also the selection of Romelu Lukaku despite the Belgian not currently being involved at Chelsea, while the team is dotted with players who were far from guaranteed Premier League playing time last week.
"Gameweek One: 20 points," writes Sam.
"For no apparent reason, extremely confident that Haaland was going to flop. Lukaku made the bench and Eriksen started. Nunez (c) Poor guy also owned De Bruyne. Genuinely a lot of bad luck, not just some poor decisions."

Slight improvement for FPL Gameweek 2
It was then back to the drawing board for Gameweek 2, with Sam's dad taking a 20-point transfer hit, clearly unaware that each transfer carries a four-point deduction, aside from the one or two free transfers every player is allowed each week.
"He reinvests those hard earned 20 points and goes into GW2 on 0 points overall, having taken a -20," Sam adds.
"Lukaku and Eriksen survive the -20 and both start. Maddison comes in as 3rd sub. He is obviously slowly integrating him into the squad, while he learns his style of play."

A decent backline.
On paper, the Gameweek 2 line-up doesn't look disastrous, with a backline of Arsenal, Liverpool and Man United starters likely to pick up some points.
Drafting Lukaku into the starting XI probably isn't the best bet, although there are signs that Sam's dad is getting the hang of it in some departments.
With a son who clearly knows his way around an FPL team, perhaps some pointers could be shared over the coming weeks and months.
We'll be keeping a close eye to see how this one plays out.
