RB Salzburg play in their first ever knockout stage game in the Champions League tonight and it couldn't be any tougher. They play Bayern Munich at home so we could see an upset in Austria.

Some of the best players in the world over the past few years like Sadio Mané and Erling Haaland have played for Salzburg in the past and they have a reputation for nurturing some of the brightest talent in Europe. Ahead of their big game tonight, here are four exciting players to keep an eye on tonight.

Karim Adeyemi

Adeyemi is the most prized possession Salzburg have right now. The striker joined the club in 2018 and has quickly become one of the brightest talents in Europe. The 20-year-old has already scored 21 goals in al competitions this season, including 6 in the Champions League Group stage. His form this seas0n earned him a call-up to the Germany squad and he's now made three caps for Die Mannschaft.

Adeyemi is from Munich and was briefly a part of the Bayern academy for two years but was reportedly let go because of behavioural issues. Now Bayern are linked to buy Adeyemi to replace Robert Lewandowski but it looks like that Adeyemi will follow in Haaland's footsteps and join Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

Rasmus Kristensen

Kristensen may be a right back but he has an attacking output most forwards will be proud of. The Danish international has scored 9 goals and gotten 6 assists this season, all from fullback. He spent some time at Ajax before being picked up by Salzburg for only €5 million back in 2019 and now he's valued at nearly treble that price tag.

West Ham and Jose Mourinho's Roma were reportedly looking to sign the 24-year old along wit Borussia Dortmund again as Sportsbild has linked them to a huge number of players from this Salzburg squad.

Mohamed Camara

Camara is the newest heir to the throne of great African midfielders to play for Salzburg. He's set to follow in the footsteps of Liverpool's Naby Keita and Brighton's Enock Mwepu and make the step up this summer, linked to Dortmund and Liverpool among other clubs.

Camara is the textbook box-to-box centre mid as he has great anticipation and awareness in his defensive third while also being able to breakthrough in the attacking third, splitting defences with long passes.

Nicolas Seiwald

The Austrian midfielder is a product of the Salzburg youth system. He came through the ranks and began his senior career at just 17 with FC Liefring, RB Salzburg's farm club in the Austrian second division. He made a name for himself there before making the move to Salzburg in November 2020 and has shone ever since, having gone on to earn a full senior cap for Austria. He is a high energy midfielder who is linked with Liverpool as an alternative to Jude Bellingham. He's tipped to be hot property in the future and tonight could be his introduction to Europe's elite.
