Good news for Liverpool fans this evening, as they could soon be seeing a familiar face on the Anfield dugout.
Paul Joyce of the Express, who has a good reputation for Liverpool news, revealed that former Scotland international and Premier League legend Gary McAllister is set to join up with Brendan Rodgers' backroom staff at Liverpool after positive talks.

McAllister spent two seasons at Anfield where he won over the fans with some impressive midfield performances despite getting on in years, and he is fondly remembered for his performance in the 2001 UEFA Cup final against Alaves, as well as this free-kick against Everton:
McAllister has previously managed both Coventry and Leeds, as well as being Gerard Houllier's assistant for a spell at Aston Villa. His addition to the staff will surely be a boost for the fans, who seem to really enjoy his stories at those former Liverpool player event nights, such as having a Dildo thrown at him during trophy celebrations..
