Former Leeds striker Robbie Fowler has applied for the manager job at Elland Road. Fowler made his name at Liverpool, netting 183 goals before making the switch to Leeds United for £12 million in 2001.
Despite being hampered with injury after leaving Anfield, he was the top goalscorer for Leeds in the 2001-02 season when he racked up 12 goals in the league.
Leeds United have been on the hunt for a new manager after controversial chairman Massimo Cellino sacked David Hockaday last week after just 70 days in the job.
While Neil Redfearn and former West Brom boss Steve Clarke remain the favourites to land the job, Fowler's application is apparently being considered by the Leeds board. Whoever gets the gig will certainly be hoping they last longer than the last guy.
