Another former Irish international has left his club, with 35-year-old Andy O'Brien departing Vancouver Whitecaps after 45 appearance over three seasons.

O'Brien won 26 caps for Ireland and was a member of Ireland's last World Cup squad in 2002. He never quite reached the heights of compatriate Robbie Keane in the MLS, Vancouver getting knocked out at the Western Conference Knockout round last year.

With age not on his side, O'Brien may choose to retire, however we hope he joins Damien Duff and others in considering joining the League of Ireland.
